We are Wayne and Margaret Kondoff. We are Abstract Works.

My husband and I are small business owners. We have a Massage Therapy practice. Our work, family and our clients keep us inquisitive and fascinated with natural and holistic health.

After vacationing in Colorado and visiting some of the towns along Highway 70, we let our noses lead us into this beautifully scented, charming, Artisan Soap shop. Inside we met the owner of this small business. She was also the creator of all the soapy goodies, and other bath items in her store. She was lovely. I was struck by her openness about her business, the soap making process and her creative down-to-earth approach. I shamelessly picked her brain about her business, which only caused me to think up even more questions. After purchasing some of her soaps, I wanted to understand more about this. I then immersed myself into learning about the soap making process. I read books, researched terms, looked at countless videos, and spent many hours, past my bedtime, learning everything I could get my hands on about soap making. I loved every minute of it! Then I started to try my hand at making soap. I started simply and then started to tread out into a little more scarier waters. More color and more design technique. I’m still nervous at times, wondering if my soap will come out the way I had planned. “Please! I hope I didn’t make ugly soap!” I pray regularly.. I now know this may be a feeling that many soap makers still experience.

Flash forward to 2019, and we are selling our soaps in our Massage Therapy business location. Along with other natural, healthy alternative products, we found that our soaps fit-in with our other retail items perfectly.

After the urging of our soap fans, we are launching the business online. We love sharing our newest artisan soaps. We are inspired to learn more, refine techniques, create and try new, and different formulas. We love that our soap designs are inspired by nature, ideas, art, music, and people which gives us a creative expression that reflects a little of our personality.

Our Soaps

All of our soaps are handcrafted in our studio in San Antonio, Texas. Our soaps are handcrafted in small batches with organic oils, botanicals, and pure essential oils, selecting ingredients from high quality suppliers. Our soaps are made using organic RSPO certified palm oil, biodegradable glitters, responsibly sourced micas, and we use almond and coconut oil in all our artisan soaps, unless otherwise stated.

The making of each batch is created with the idea of a fun, artfully designed, nourishing product that can cleanse the skin. 

We love to share the many benefits of natural artisan soaps with everyone, so we offer soaps with fragrant essential oils, fragrance oils, or are fragrance free. All fragrances are selected from reputable suppliers and are certified skin safe.
